Ba Himmat Buzurg Program: Latest Update on Monthly Payment of Rs. 9000

The Ba Himmat Buzurg Program is a social pension program launched by the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) to improve the socio-economic well-being of elderly people in Punjab.

The program aims to provide financial assistance to elderly people who are not eligible for other social protection programs such as the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).

The program currently provides financial assistance of Rs. 2000 monthly to elderly females who are not eligible for BISP.

In the case of eligible female’s loss of life as per the given criteria, the male members of the family, aged sixty five years and above, are eligible

Ba Himmat Buzurg Program (2024)

Recently, the Ba Himmat Buzurg Program has undergone significant changes. The program is now administered by the Benazir Support Program, aiming to provide financial aid to impoverished individuals aged 60 and above.

BA Himmat Buzurg Program Objectives

These senior citizens will receive Rs. 9,000 every three months to help meet their needs. The program aims to protect older persons aged 65 and above from livelihood risks and to enable them to live a dignified life.

The Ba Himmat Buzurg Program has been designed with the following objectives:

  1. To enhance the social inclusion of the poor aged people by using providing them dignified social pension.
  2. To enhance the subsistence of poor aged people.
  3. To reduce the dependency of terrible elderly humans on their social network

The program is covering most vulnerable individuals in Punjab and provide them with the means of meeting their financial needs. The program is a step towards ensuring that elderly people in Punjab are not left behind and are able to live a dignified life.
